# How to import Postman Collection

Know how you can import postman collection to your workspace

### Getting Started with Postman

1. Open Postman Application on your desktop or launch its [web application.](https://go.postman.co/home)
2. Sign in to your postman account if account already exist or sign up.
3. When you sign up for a Postman account, you'll be prompted to provide some information about yourself, including your name and role, to help customize your Postman experience. Enter your details and select **Continue**.
4. Once logged in, you will be landed to the home page.

### Importing Postman Collection to your workspace

1. Import the API collection using the below workspace

3. Go to the **File** menu and click on **Import** option.

4. Choose a workspace to import collection and click on "**Continue to Workspace**".
5. Now, in the next window, enter the URL of the collection or choose the downloaded file from your local machine.

6. Click on Import Button.
